Hidden login page disclosure via encoded request bypass
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in WPServeur WPS Hide Login 1.5.4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to discover the hidden login page. The plugins_loaded handler compares encoded REQUEST_URI substrings with strpos before URL decoding, so encoded wp-signup or wp-activate text evades the block and triggers a redirect. No authentication or user interaction is required; the disclosed URL enables credential brute-forcing but does not itself expose credentials.
