Local file manipulation via incorrect default permissions
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Incorrect default permissions in five Hitachi Command Suite products on Linux before 8.8.5-02 or 8.8.3-08 allow local users to manipulate files. Hitachi has not identified the affected files or directories, the permissions assigned at installation, or the file operation exposed by those permissions. Exploitation requires a local low-privileged account and can alter files or interrupt the affected management service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
