Contributor-level stored XSS via unsanitized style attribute
Published Feb 21, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored XSS in Spectra before 1.15.0 allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to execute scripts through Gutenberg blocks. The Contact Form 7 Styler block copies its Additional CSS Classes value into a style-related HTML attribute without sanitizing injected attributes. Exploitation requires Contact Form 7, crafted block content, and a victim who interacts with the rendered page; resulting scripts run in that victim's browser.
