Memory disclosure and device crash via invalid addresses
Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the Qualcomm Snapdragon hypervisor allows local users with high privileges to disclose memory or crash a device. The hypervisor attempts to read attacker-supplied invalid addresses without validating that the referenced memory is within bounds. Exploitation requires local high-privilege access; successful use can expose hypervisor memory or interrupt the device through a crash.
