Settings modification via missing session-key validation

Cross-site request forgery in Site news 1.0 allows remote attackers to change a victim’s displayed news-item count through the web interface. The get_content method accepts the mynewsitems parameter and calls block_sitenews_update_itemsnumber without validating Moodle’s session key; the renderer also submits the state-changing control with GET. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to load an attacker-controlled request, and the resulting change is limited to that user’s displayed item-count setting.
