Open redirect via uncleaned request URI
Published Dec 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in Macaron i18n before 0.5.0 allows remote attackers to send users to an attacker-controlled site through a crafted URL. When Redirect is enabled, the I18n handler passes the request URI to ctx.Redirect without cleaning a scheme-relative path beginning with two slashes. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted link, after which the redirect exposes the user to attacker-controlled content.
