Authenticated SQL injection via unsafe search-clause duplication
Published Dec 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
SQL injection in Modern Tribe Panel Builder allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through a crafted WordPress search. The add_post_content_filtered_to_search_sql function matches a raw post_content LIKE fragment with a permissive regular expression, then replace_callback duplicates the captured SQL for post_content_filtered. Reachability requires panels to be enabled and the default WordPress search path; CNA scoring also requires low privileges and another user's interaction.
