Administrator-browser script execution via logged Referer
Published Nov 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Zenario CMS before 8.5.51340 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The Error Log module stores an attacker-controlled Referer from a nonexistent-page request, and admin_organizer.js inserts the saved value without sufficient HTML escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open Organizer's error log, where the script runs in that administrator's browser context and can alter data exposed to the page.
