Stored XSS via unneutralized Area field
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Multi Restaurant Table Reservation System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. The menu insertion handler accepts a modified food_type dropdown value and stores it without neutralizing active markup before menu-list.php renders the Area field. An authenticated restaurant user must submit the crafted value, and another user must open the menu list; the script then runs in that viewer's session context.
