CVE-2020-36548

Local privilege escalation via unauthenticated users.cgi

Published Jun 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Improper authentication in GE HealthCare Voluson S8 allows local users to gain elevated access through the Service Browser. The /uscgi-bin/users.cgi endpoint omits authentication before exposing elevated Service Browser functions; no finer-grained code mechanism is public. Access must originate on the local host, and public records do not identify the affected release or define the elevated functions.
