Spreadsheet code execution via exported device formulas
Published Jun 3, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
CSV formula injection in SevOne NMS 5.7.2.0 through 5.7.2.22 allows remote authenticated users to embed formulas in device exports. The Device Creator accepts formula-prefixed values without neutralization, and Device Manager writes them into an exported CSV that a spreadsheet executes when opened. Exploitation requires a role with device-management access and a recipient who opens the export, enabling spreadsheet-context code or command execution.
