Cross-site scripting in Appfire Linking for Confluence 5.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in viewers' browsers via a crafted macro. The Link in New Window macro accepts an href value containing JavaScript and stores it in a page without neutralization, so the payload runs when a viewer clicks the generated link. Exploitation requires permission to create or edit a Confluence page and a victim to click the link; the documented impact is script execution in the victim's browser with low integrity impact.
