Domain spoofing in Mimecast Email Security before 2020-01-10 allows remote authenticated users to send SPF-aligned email as another domain. Address alteration accepted an arbitrary RFC5322.From domain without checking tenant ownership, while Mimecast's authorized sending IPs supplied aligned RFC5321.From values that passed SPF and DMARC. Administrative access is required, and the spoofed domain must be another customer in the same Mimecast grid; the result is authenticated-looking email usable for impersonation and phishing.
