Heap-based buffer overflow in matio 1.5.18 through 1.5.21 allows attackers to corrupt memory by opening a crafted MAT file. ReadInt32DataDouble writes four bytes beyond a heap buffer while Mat_VarRead4 processes attacker-controlled integer data. Processing crafted MAT content is required; the demonstrated consequence is an out-of-bounds write, while further impact is not published.
