Reflected XSS via unescaped color setting output
Published Jun 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PageLayer before 1.3.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through color settings. The pagelayer_website_color function copies color POST values into a hidden input's value attribute without output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit an attacker-crafted request; the script runs with that administrator's browser privileges.
