CVE-2020-36381Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via unquoted file paths

Published Oct 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

OS command injection in shenzhim aaptjs 1.3.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted singleCrunch file paths. singleCrunch interpolates its input and output file arguments into a shell command string and passes it to shelljs.exec without quoting or neutralization. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled paths to this API, and injected commands run with the Node.js process's privileges.
