Arbitrary code execution via unquoted file path
Published Oct 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in shenzhim aaptjs 1.3.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted filePath. The list function interpolates apkfilePath directly into a shell command string and passes it to shelljs.exec without quoting or validation. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled input to list(), after which injected commands run with the Node.js process privileges.
