CVE-2020-36364Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file relocation via unchecked import filename

Published May 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in Smartstore before 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to relocate arbitrary server files through import profiles. ImportController.Create passes the user-controlled TempFileName to Path.Combine without validation, then copies the resolved source into a profile. Access requires the Configuration.Import.Create permission, and a crafted filename can copy an arbitrary file into a new import profile and delete its original.
