Stored script execution via unsafe Textile link schemes
Published Apr 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Redmine before 4.0.7 and 4.1.x before 4.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute script via crafted Textile inline links. The inline_textile_link renderer placed attacker-controlled link targets in href attributes without rejecting browser-executable schemes. The payload must be stored in a Textile-enabled field and runs when another user views the rendered content, allowing access to or modification of data available to that browser session.
