CVE-2020-3630

Out-of-bounds access via video firmware responses

Published Jun 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Out-of-bounds access in Qualcomm Snapdragon video processing allows local users to trigger an invalid memory access via video firmware responses. The video response handler fails to validate an array index derived from firmware output before using it for a memory access. Low-privilege local access is required; published records do not specify whether the access is a read or write or name a higher-level impact.
