Group-wide access removal via insufficient permission check
Published Feb 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper privilege management in ownCloud Server before 10.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to revoke a received group share. The group-share deletion path applies a recipient's removal to every group recipient because its permission check does not limit the operation to that recipient. The attacker must already have non-administrative access to the group share; the action removes other recipients' access but does not delete shared data.
