Cross-site scripting via workflow administration endpoints
Published Feb 14, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center allows remote attackers to inject HTML or JavaScript through workflow endpoints. The ViewWorkflowSchemes.jspa and ListWorkflows.jspa endpoints place attacker-controlled markup or script into generated pages without effective neutralization. No authentication is required, but user interaction is required; execution can read or alter data available to the affected browser session.
