Cross-site scripting via unescaped nested-form labels
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in RailsAdmin before 1.4.3 and 2.0.0 through 2.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute script via nested forms. The nested-form hooks concatenate object-label values into jQuery HTML strings or pass them to .html(), causing markup from record labels or translations to execute. The script runs in the browser context of a user who opens or adds the affected nested form, enabling access to or modification of data available in that session.
