Local privilege escalation in Veritas NetBackup and OpsCenter 8.3.0.1 and earlier allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. OpenSSL-using processes load and execute a library from a drive-root path that is absent by default and can be created by low-privileged Windows users. A local account able to create the missing directory is sufficient, and exposure exists during installation, upgrades, and normal operations.
