Code execution via undersized reference buffer

Stack buffer overflow in Symonics libmysofa 0.5 through 1.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted SOFA file. The readDataVar function in hdf/dataobject.c uses sprintf to format an attacker-controlled reference value into a stack buffer that is four bytes too small. Code execution requires an application using the library to open the malicious file; strong stack protection instead turns the overwrite into a crash.
