Authenticated local file disclosure via fileurl traversal
Published Jun 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in BloofoxCMS 0.5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to read local server files through the fileurl parameter. The settings editor accepts fileurl values containing ../ sequences without preventing traversal beyond the intended directory. A low-privileged authenticated session is required, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of files readable through the web application.
