Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in bloofoxCMS 0.5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a PHP webshell. The admin Tools upload endpoint accepts a .php file with application/octet-stream content and writes it under the web-accessible media/images directory. An authenticated Admincenter session is required, and requesting the stored script executes attacker-supplied commands with the web server's privileges.
