Administrator account creation via tokenless CSRF request
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in FlyCms 1.0 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts through a crafted admin_save request. The addAdminSave handler accepts account fields and calls adminService.addAdmin without checking a CSRF token or request referrer. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to load or submit attacker-controlled content, after which the new account has super-administrator access.
