Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unrestricted resource path
Published Jun 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file deletion in AppCMS 2.0.101 allows remote authenticated users to delete files through the administrative web interface. The /admin/app.php m__del_resource action passes a requested resource to the core del_resource function without confining deletion to an allowed path. An authenticated backend session is required, and successful requests can remove site files, causing data loss or service interruption.
