Heap-based buffer over-read in GPAC 0.8.0 and 1.0.1 allows local users to crash MP4Box by processing a crafted MP4 file. During RTP hint generation, gf_hinter_track_process passes a zero-length AVC NAL unit to gp_rtp_builder_do_avc, which reads one byte beyond the sample buffer instead of rejecting the empty unit. Triggering the flaw requires a user to run MP4Box's hinting operation on the crafted file; the public proof of concept demonstrates an AddressSanitizer abort, while further impact is not established.
