Arbitrary file read via prefix-only URL validation
Published Jun 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SSRF in YzmCMS 5.8 background collection management allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files via a crafted URL. The collector checks only the URL's first four characters for "http" before cURL or file_get_contents processes the full attacker-controlled value. Administrative access to collection management and a collection action are required; exploitation exposes files readable by the PHP process.
