Conditional code execution via unsafe layout deserialization
Published Jan 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
PHP object injection in PickPlugins Post Grid before 2.0.73 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted layout. The post_grid_import_xml_layouts AJAX handler retrieves the URL in source, decodes its layout data, and passes attacker-controlled postmeta values to unserialize(). Subscriber-level access normally reaches the handler, but code execution requires a usable magic-method gadget in another installed plugin or theme; otherwise the flaw only instantiates arbitrary PHP objects.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
