Stored browser script execution via custom tabs
Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SolarWinds Orion Platform before 2020.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through Customize View. The add-custom-tab flow stores administrator-supplied content and later renders it without adequate output neutralization. An Orion administrator must save the payload, and another user's interaction executes it in that user's browser, enabling limited data access or interface modification.
