Authenticated remote code execution via language value injection
Published Jan 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Code injection in OpenSolution Quick.CMS and Quick.Cart before 6.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary server code. The Language editor saves the Back_end_only field as executable language data without neutralizing PHP syntax, so a crafted value closes the quoted string and inserts a system call. Administrative credentials are required; loading the Language page then runs the injected command with the web server process privileges.
