Browser script execution via unsanitized error message
Published Jan 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Quest Policy Authority 8.1.2.200 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The Web Compliance Manager's Error.jsp renders the err parameter without sanitization; cpr, tcp, and abs can feed it indirectly. Exploitation requires a valid application session and victim interaction, enabling script execution in that session but no service interruption.
