CVE-2020-35565Network attack vector

Unlimited login attempts via disabled brute-force detection

Published Feb 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Weak default configuration in MB connect line mymbCONNECT24 allows remote attackers to make unrestricted login attempts against account passwords. The WebLogin protection under Security → Fail2Ban starts disabled, leaving the login pages without an enabled control that detects repeated password guesses. Network access to a login page is sufficient to attempt guessing without authentication; the vendor reports confidentiality impact but no integrity or availability impact.
