DLL search-path hijacking in AnyDesk before 6.1.0 on Windows allows local users to compromise a local account through portable mode. The portable executable loads gcapi.dll from its application directory even when an attacker-planted copy is marked read-only, causing attacker code to run in the victim's AnyDesk process. The attacker must be able to write beside the portable executable and wait for a victim to launch it; installed mode and non-Windows clients are outside the reported condition.
