Authentication bypass via injectable admin login fields
Published Jul 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in PHPGurukul Employee Record Management System 1.1 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication. The admin login handler at /erms/admin/index.php accepts a tautological SQL expression in both credential fields, allowing attacker-controlled syntax to alter the credential query logic. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation grants access to the administrative panel and its employee-record functions.
