Unauthenticated admin access via login SQL injection
Published Jan 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in EgavilanMedia User Registration & Login System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass admin authentication. The admin login handler incorporates the supplied User ID and Password values into its authentication query without neutralizing SQL syntax, so an always-true condition is accepted as a valid administrator login. No credentials are required; successful access permits user data to be updated or deleted, while the published exploit does not demonstrate operating-system code execution.
