Authentication bypass in NETGEAR JGS516PE and GS116Ev2 firmware 2.6.0.43 allows remote attackers to gain full device control via NSDP. When no random token has been requested since reboot, NSDP stores an empty value and accepts an authenticated request carrying an empty hash. The attacker must reach the switch on the adjacent network before any token request occurs; accepted management commands can erase configuration through a factory reset.
