Local privilege escalation via unquoted service path
Published Feb 2, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Local privilege escalation in Cloudflare WARP for Windows before 1.2.2695.1 allows local users to gain administrator privileges. The Windows service registration stores the warp-svc.exe binary path without surrounding quotes, so Windows can resolve an attacker-placed executable earlier in the spaced path. A non-administrative local user or process must be able to place a binary in a searched parent location; execution by the privileged service grants administrator access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
