Controller hang via OFPBundleCtrlMsg infinite loop
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Infinite-loop denial of service in Faucet SDN Ryu 4.34 allows remote attackers to hang the controller through OFPBundleCtrlMsg. The public CVE record does not identify the malformed field or parsing operation that prevents this parser from advancing, and its sole upstream reference describes OFPQueueGetConfigReply instead. Exploitation requires network access to the controller's OpenFlow interface; the documented consequence is an availability-only hang.
