Credential decryption via embedded registration encryption key

Hardcoded-key exposure in MobileIron Mobile@Work through 2021-03-22 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to decrypt registration credentials. The m20857f() routine in com/mobileiron/common/utils/C4928m.java encrypts submitted usernames and passwords with a key embedded in the app. Credential recovery requires intercepted traffic and injection or trust of a malicious TLS certificate, and Ivanti disputes any causal link between the static key and the interception attack.
