Unauthenticated PHP code execution via callable criteria strings
Published Jan 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Code injection in Agentejo Cockpit before 0.6.1 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through crafted authentication JSON. The MongoLite criteria evaluator treats an attacker-controlled string as callable and invokes it in registerCriteriaFunction while processing /auth/check or /auth/requestreset data. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the web application server context.
