CVE-2020-3452Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked HTTP traversal

Published Jul 22, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Path traversal in Cisco ASA Software web services allows remote attackers to read VPN files through crafted HTTP requests. Both ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software process HTTP URL traversal sequences without proper validation. Exploitation requires an affected WebVPN or AnyConnect configuration and exposes only web-services files, not system files, underlying operating system files, or VPN login credentials.
