CVE-2020-3333Network attack vector

Unauthenticated event-policy modification via insufficient API authentication

Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

Missing authentication in the Cisco Application Services Engine API before 1.1.2.20 allows remote attackers to update event policies. The policy-modification API accepts crafted HTTP requests without sufficiently authenticating the requester before applying event-policy changes. Network access to the management API is sufficient; successful requests alter policy configuration without disclosing data or interrupting service.
