Application crash via malformed recording elements
Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Improper input validation in Cisco Webex recording players allows attackers to crash the application with a crafted ARF or WRF file. The players insufficiently validate unspecified recording elements while loading untrusted Advanced Recording Format or Webex Recording Format files. Exploitation requires a user to open the delivered file on Windows, and the resulting denial of service is limited to the player process.
