Player crash via malformed recording elements
Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Improper input validation in Cisco Webex recording players before 3.0 MR3 Security Patch 2 and 4.0 MR3 allows attackers to crash the player. The ARF and WRF parsers fail to validate unspecified recording elements before processing them. A victim must open a crafted recording on Microsoft Windows; the resulting impact is limited to interruption of the player process.
