Arbitrary log writes via crafted HTTP requests
Published May 6, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Improper input validation in Cisco Firepower Management Center before 6.3.0.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary system log entries. The web UI accepts attacker-controlled data from a crafted HTTP request and writes it to the system log without sufficient validation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the resulting false entries can corrupt operational audit data without reading data or interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
