Unauthenticated service interruption via crafted DHCP packets
Published May 6, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Denial of service in the DHCP module of Cisco ASA and FTD Software allows remote attackers to disrupt affected devices via crafted packets. The DHCP module incorrectly processes certain DHCP packets, placing the appliance into a denial-of-service condition. No authentication or user interaction is required, but Cisco does not disclose whether the outcome is a hang, crash, or reload.
